captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- >> we're going to start with breaking news. four people are dead after a horrific crash in maryland. >> tom, you spoke with police just a short time ago? >> i did speak with him a short time ago. the boulevard reopened to traffic after it and shut down for four hours. it had been shut down for this reason. this is a video taken by chopper of a terrible accident. police say four people were killed. two in each vehicle. in one of the cars there was an adult and a child. the other car had two adults.

we were told it was a head on collision. they're still investigating exactly what the cause was and what led to this. four people in all were killed. one of the cars had maryland license plate. the others had a west virginia license plate. police are not releasing the identities. they say they still have to notify next of kin. this is extreme northern and arundel county here. you're a couple miles outside the city limit of baltimore. it has the feel of a remote area. there are not a lot of folks living around here, where this terrible accident took. abc 7 news. >> thank you. new information in the stabbing death of a man at the woodley park metro station. richard reeve is following the investigation and spoke with family members. >> members -- neighbors came with flowers and tears bouquets and condolence cards left the

home of 18-year-old elijah griffin, whose life wasort saturday. >> he truly was one of the good kids. >> police say rudd 1:00 a.m., griffin was attacked not once, but twice by a group of teens. >> it is horrible. he got around the corner, they jump tim. >> his brother, isaiah believes the group used a weapon to threaten the two 18-year-old, who walked to the woodley park metro station to go home. they encountered the same teenagers again. >> the boys are like, you are going to have to fight me. >> authorities believe the group of nine teenagers attacked once more, this time with knives according to a police report. griffin was fatally stabbed in the abdomen, chase left with a broken nose. >> it is unexpected, unbelievable.

>> friends who were member griffin as an honor student and football player at sherwood high school before he graduated this year are still in shock. >> he was doing fine in the last three months. it was really hard to believe. >> griffin, with a job at nih was at montgomery college with dreams of being a physical therapist. >> we feel like it is a bad dream and we're going to wake up from it. >> 8 of the teens face assault and/or robbery charges. the ninth team faces a murder charge. friends are planning a vigil. richard reeve, abc 7 news. >> more violence and more bloodshed in gaza and israel today. it was the deadliest day so far. palestinians are keeping up their brush of rocket attacks into israel. more than 100 rockets were fired today. a deadly strike by israeli forces, a missile destroyed a

two story home in gaza city. at least 11 civilians were killed including four children and an 80-year-old woman. egypt is trying to help negotiate a cease-fire between israel and hamas. >> the u.s. airways flight enroute to tennessee had to head back to the airport after just 15 minutes. it was forced to return because the captain reported a fire on board. investigators were unable to find any evidence of a fire. >> we have an alert to tell you about for montgomery county. police are looking for this man 91-year-old johnson. he went looking -- missing earlier today from silver springs. he met been spotted near route 29. they say he suffers from dementia. police are asking anyone who may have seen him to give them a call. the redskins were big winners this afternoon. >> let's get up to speed now. rgiii on fire. >> on fire.

the clouds are starting to roll in. this is part of that coastal storm we have been talking about for a few days now. it is going to have little impact on our area as it moves through the coming days. 49 degrees at the airport. winds out of the north northeast at 9 miles an hour. our temperatures outside are quite comfortable today. make it up to 53 degrees slightly below average. the record, 80 setback in 1921. weatherbug network germantown and now at 47. they had a high of 52 degrees earlier. almost 60 in virginia beach. 36 miles an hour to the wind gusts. now 46 after a high of 51. temperatures across the board slowly cooling now that the sun has set. 45 in martinsburg. southern maryland, looking at 50 in lexington park. milder temperatures to the south and west. a good indication of what is on the way as we move closer

towards thanksgiving. wednesday, thursday, upper 50's- 60 degrees. 24 are temperature change not so significant for us in d.c. the milder air is out there. we will see a difference as we move to the next few days. here is a coastal storm, the first batch of clouds to arrive. this will keep our temperature in the 30's as opposed to the 20's tonight. the cloud cover is acting as a dome of insulation that will keep our temperatures up a little bit. the rain and showers should remain well off the coast. macy a shower or two across the peninsula early tomorrow. we will look for a mix of sun and clouds later tomorrow afternoon. temperatures will be in the lower to middle 50's. a few more clouds as we move to the day on tuesday. milder air by wednesday, thursday, friday. forecast for tonight partly to mostly cloudy skies.

32-40 degrees. daytime highs tomorrow in the lower to middle 50's. here is the extended outlook. a look at thanksgiving. 60 degrees. nighttime lows will be in the upper 30's. there is the cooler air saturday and sunday. if you're looking for travel delays or planning to head out to the pacific northwest, san francisco northward to seattle that will be the most problematic area for travel delays. east coast, midwest, south, no problem. >> sold out crowd, still came. d.c. united last chance to advance to the mls cup. but fans have something to smile about.
